Overview

The Strategic Account Executive will support GitLab in the public sector, focusing on strategic and large customers in Japan, utilizing experience in enterprise account sales.

In Short

  • Report to the Japan Enterprise Area Sales Manager.
  • Support GitLab for strategic and larger customers in Japan.
  • Contribute to root cause analysis on wins/losses.
  • Manage a book of business and document buying criteria and processes.
  • Conduct sales activities including prospecting in large accounts.
  • Ensure successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products.
  • Travel as necessary to develop relationships and close opportunities.
  • Prepare activity and forecast reports as requested.
  • Assist in conveying customer needs to product managers.
  • Utilize a consultative approach in discussions with prospects.

Requirements

  • Desire to see customers benefit from their investments.
  • Ability to manage major government accounts.
  • Experience selling into government accounts.
  • Proven success with B2B software sales.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Interest in GitLab and open source software.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Experience with Git and software development tools preferred.
  • Ability to travel as necessary.
