Overview

The Senior Manager of Database Systems is responsible for leading the design, engineering, and operational management of Ferguson’s database environments across on-premises, cloud, and disaster recovery infrastructures.

In Short

• Lead and mentor a team of Database Administrators and Engineers.
• Drive architectural standard processes for database systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• 8-10 years of experience in database operations and IT leadership.
• Thorough understanding of database technologies, especially Oracle and SQL Server.
• Experience with Oracle Exadata preferred.
• Strong analytical and creative thinking abilities.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to empower in a collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of SAN and NAS storage systems.
• Experience in developing strategic people plans.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to business leaders.
