Director, Data Governance, Enterprise Data and Analytics - Remote

Overview

The Director, Data Governance, Enterprise Data and Analytics will design, and rollout governed, certified, and trusted metrics and definitions in support of implementing these rules within business applications, business processes, and a new, global, data and analytics solution, “Edna”. This position sits within the “Expand” (Extreme Process Analytics and Data Governance) team, within the Analytics & Data Governance pillar, and is responsible for developing the data governance function within Extreme, both in defining the approach and definitions, as well as building the relevant team to deliver on outcomes.

In Short

• Define cross-functional definitions of business-critical data and metrics.
• Champion change for increased efficiency and insights.
• Establish master data principles for a single version of truth.
• Support definition of data metrics and master data entities.
• Own and maintain enterprise-wide data governance collateral.
• Construct data governance operating models.
• Align data governance roadmap with process and analytics initiatives.
• Manage the team’s backlog of delivery.
• Lead and mentor team members.
• Resolve data-related issues and ensure data reliability.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in data governance or related roles.
• Experience implementing data governance frameworks.
• Proven leadership experience in analytics or data management.
• Deep understanding of data governance best practices.
• Experience with data management tools.
• Proven experience in change management.
• Familiarity with enterprise data platforms.
• Comfort working within an agile team.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
• Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
