The Director for Southern and Eastern Africa will lead the ELCA's engagement through its Service and Justice unit, focusing on building relationships and implementing strategic programs in the region.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience; Master's degree preferred.
• Collaborative work style and strong relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of ELCA's global mission and cultural competence.
• Skills in strategic planning, budgeting, and project management.
• Proficiency in English and French; knowledge of regional languages preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Commitment to the mission and values of the ELCA.
• Ability to travel extensively (80-100 days per year).
• Strong communication skills.
