Mission Funding Director Region 6 & 8 - Remote

Overview

The Mission Funding Director is responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding philanthropic support for the ELCA's priority fundraising objectives, managing a portfolio of major gift prospects.

In Short

• Manage a portfolio of 100-150 major gift prospects.
• Achieve annual fundraising goals.
• Identify and build relationships with donors.
• Collaborate with the Development team on strategies.
• Utilize Blackbaud CRM for donor management.
• Implement special fundraising events as needed.
• Write donor correspondence and acknowledgments.
• Travel frequently to meet with donors.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in fundraising efforts.
• Commit to the mission and values of the ELCA.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in capital campaigns and donor stewardship.
• Proven success in achieving fundraising goals.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Understanding of Christian stewardship.
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
• Ability to travel extensively.
