Overview

The Regional Director Africa - Infrastructure Development provides regional leadership in the development of pipeline opportunities and delivers the company’s products and services in partnership with developers and companies in the water supply and sanitation sector in the region.

In Short

Lead the identification and generation of water supply and sanitation infrastructure investment opportunities.
Develop and maintain relationships with partners in the sector.
Manage implementation and delivery of development activities and technical assistance.
Drive complex projects while anticipating issues and recognizing risks.
Ensure accurate, timely reporting on project progress, risks, and related KPIs.
Support investment decisions and evaluate infrastructure service provisions.
Coordinate third-party service providers and vendors.
Identify opportunities to improve WSS infrastructure policy and regulations.
Contribute to global activities of the Infrastructure Development team.
Report directly to the Chief Infrastructure Development Officer.

Requirements

Experience in business development and infrastructure investment.
Strong understanding of the water supply and sanitation sector.
Proven ability to manage complex projects and stakeholder relationships.
Knowledge of climate resilience strategies.
Excellent communication and reporting skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience with due diligence and investment appraisal processes.
Familiarity with project documentation and legal requirements.
Ability to drive results and meet deadlines.
Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
