Senior Software Engineer (PHP) - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior PHP Developer to join our remote engineering team. You’ll play a key role in scaling and modernizing a platform.

• This is a contract-to-hire position for one of our clients.
• Fully remote position.
• Candidates must be able to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Lead backend development and provide architectural input on PHP-based systems.
• Contribute to the migration from PHP 7.4 to PHP 8.
• Maintain and enhance core platform functionality in a high-availability environment.
• Collaborate with QA, product stakeholders, and other engineers.
• Mentor junior developers and improve development processes.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in PHP development required.
• Strong background in enterprise-level applications and system architecture.

Requirements

• Experience working with legacy codebases and guiding modernization efforts.
• Proficiency in SQL (e.g., MySQL) and version control (e.g., Git).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team.
