Senior Systems Engineer - Remote

Overview

DomainTools is looking for a dynamic Senior Systems Engineer who is passionate about operational excellence in hybrid cloud and bare metal infrastructure, automation, and team-building. Come help us build the tools and processes to accelerate the management, operation and delivery of our security products.

In Short

• Build and operate Linux-based systems in both public cloud and colocation environments.
• Manage the lifecycle of open-source and custom services.
• Modernize infrastructure by moving older applications into containers.
• Partner with engineering teams to build self-service tools.
• Improve our ability to visualize systems using monitoring and metrics.
• Manage and monitor databases and data flows.
• Help mentor other engineers.
• Reduce business risk with security compliance.
• Write and maintain operational documentation.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in Linux systems engineering.
• Experience migrating Linux-based services into containers.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools.
• Proven ability to automate using scripts and CI pipelines.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Ability to write documentation for team processes.
• Experience with customer-facing SaaS products.
• Willingness to tackle complex problems.
• Proven ability to prioritize improvements.
• High standards in communication and feedback.
