Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer provides support to the Engineering and Production Department's activities by applying engineering knowledge and methods to equipment problems and preventative maintenance.

In Short

  • Involvement in the innovation and design of manufacturing equipment.
  • Coordinates support in debugging new equipment.
  • Ensures compliance with government regulations such as OSHA, GMP, FDA, and EPA.
  • Troubleshoots mechanical and electrical problems with manufacturing equipment.
  • Communicates between R&D and Plant personnel on new products and improvements.
  • Participates in Engineering and Production functions to achieve plant objectives.
  • Enforces safety regulations and quality policies.
  • Responsible for training on Quality Assurance principles.
  • May supervise others as assigned.
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience in Manufacturing Technical Maintenance.

Requirements

  • A two-year technical degree in a related field is required; a four-year degree is preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of equipment design and PLC control systems.
  • Experience in high-speed automated manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong verbal, written, analytical, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to operate a computer and small hand tools.
  • Physical ability to perform light work and handle equipment.
