Director of Engineering & Planning - Remote

Overview

The Director of Project Engineering & Planning will be responsible for leading and managing the Project Engineers and Project Planning Specialists within the Engineering Organization. In this role, the successful candidate will work within a cross-functional matrixed environment and lead by influence to accomplish organization-wide goals.

• Ensure high quality, on-time delivery of technical deliverables.
• Develop operational KPIs and monitor productivity metrics.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
• Drive training programs and succession planning with HR.
• Establish team performance expectations and provide feedback.
• Develop mitigation plans for project risks.
• Collaborate with other COE leaders for resource allocation.
• Maintain engineering workload/capacity planning.
• Enhance operating efficiencies in the Project Engineering process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required, Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in project execution and planning.
• 5 years of managerial experience in engineering organizations.
• Licensed Professional Engineer preferred.
• Experience with Primavera P6 preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering disciplines and process design.
• Ability to influence leadership and manage multiple projects.
• Strong communication skills and business acumen.
• Six Sigma Certification preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
