Overview

Connect for Health Colorado is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to lead the design of enterprise software architecture and manage the development team.

In Short

Lead the design and implementation of software applications.
Manage a mix of internal and contractor development teams.
Oversee the development of AI-powered software products.
Facilitate communications across teams regarding project status.
Identify and address security vulnerabilities in systems.
Define project milestones and resource allocation.
Conduct market research for technology solutions.
Coordinate with stakeholders on development requirements.
Maintain knowledge of industry trends and technology developments.
Manage direct reports including software developers and IT professionals.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
10+ years of hands-on programming experience.
Experience with agile software development processes.
Proficiency in web development languages including AngularJS and PostgreSQL.
Experience in a DevSecOps development environment.
Willingness to engage hands-on in projects.
Familiarity with Mulesoft and Drools middleware solutions.
Strong knowledge of software test and evaluation procedures.
Preference for experience in healthcare or insurance industries.
