Overview

The Account Executive is responsible for selling Confluent solutions to commercial and mid-market customers, utilizing prospecting, sales, negotiation, and leadership skills to meet sales targets.

In Short

  • Drive revenue growth for diverse territories.
  • Proactively develop and close a sales pipeline.
  • Develop and present a compelling value proposition.
  • Understand and sell through the partner ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with Solutions Engineers & Professional Services.
  • Own the entire sales process and collaborate with team members.
  • Become a subject matter expert on Confluent offerings.
  • Present to C-levels to negotiate and close deals.
  • Create and nurture customer relationships.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in quota-carrying sales roles.
  • Experience in Big Data, Cloud, SaaS, or Enterprise IT Solutions.
  • Sales methodology training (e.g., MEDDPICC, Challenger).
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • High integrity and self-driven.
  • Strong selling and negotiation skills.
  • Open to travel as needed.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred.
