Overview

The Commercial Legal Counsel will provide legal support for CoLab’s go-to-market engine, focusing on NDAs and SaaS contracts while ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.

In Short

• Review and negotiate NDAs and SaaS contracts.
• Partner with Sales and Security to protect data and keep deals moving.
• Build scalable contract workflows and improve operational systems.
• Manage intake, tracking, and reporting of legal agreements.
• Assist General Counsel with various legal tasks.
• Flag and escalate legal risks as necessary.
• 3-7 years of legal experience required.
• Familiarity with data privacy laws is essential.
• Strong attention to detail and operational rigor needed.
• Experience with legal software applications is a plus.

Requirements

• 3–7 years of legal experience (ideally including in-house experience).
• SaaS contract negotiation experience with customers is essential.
• Familiarity with data privacy laws across US, Canada, and Europe.
• Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
• Comfortable using legal-focused software applications.
• Experience in governance, employment, or intellectual property law is useful.
