Overview

We are looking to grow our rapidly expanding sales engineering team. As a Sales Engineer, you will help qualify and close opportunities with customers and partners and provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and supporting technical evaluations.

In Short

  • Work alongside the sales team to introduce CockroachDB to potential customers.
  • Lead product and solution briefings, build proof-of-concepts (POC), run live product demos.
  • Partner with product management, engineering, and support teams to solve customer challenges.
  • Identify and address customers' key technical objections.
  • Immerse yourself in CockroachDB and the sales motion in the first 30 days.
  • Build relationships with various teams at Cockroach Labs.
  • Lead customer meetings and conduct POCs after 90 days.
  • 10-12+ years of experience in solution architecture and leading presentations.
  • Passion for working on complex technical problems.
  • Flexibility to travel to meet customers and attend events.

Requirements

  • 10-12+ years of experience in sales engineering or similar roles.
  • Experience with scalable, distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of modern infrastructure and database technologies.
  • Ability to build relationships with partners and customers.
  • Collaborative spirit and customer feedback orientation.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
