In Short

  • Develop, review, and maintain Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) and other benefit documents.
  • Interpret and apply federal regulations such as ERISA, ACA, and HIPAA.
  • Build and configure benefit plans in the claims adjudication system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate setup of plans.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in the claims adjudication system.
  • Conduct ongoing research on healthcare regulations.
  • Work closely with account managers and brokers for seamless integration.
  • Provide guidance to junior staff on plan design principles.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Maintain an electronic library of plan documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in benefit plan documentation.
  • Extensive knowledge of self-insured industry practices.
  • Strong technical proficiency in claims adjudication systems.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills.
