In Short

  • Responsible for assisting the Utilization team with administrative tasks.
  • Performs data entry of authorization information into a web-based system.
  • Gathers and organizes clinical information for review.
  • Communicates authorization request status to providers.
  • Writes coverage determination letters.
  • Works with electronic medical records daily.
  • Performs other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in computer skills – Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Knowledge of ICD 10 codes, CPT codes, and medical terminology is a bonus.
  • Detail oriented and self-sufficient.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Medical office or hospital experience preferred.
