Overview

As a Security Operations Center (SOC) Engineer at Cloudflare, you will provide premium-level support for our security products, assisting our largest and most technically sophisticated customers in dealing with threats or attacks on their infrastructure.

• Provide premium-level support for Cloudflare’s security products.
• Analyze threats and suggest mitigation strategies.

• Perform hands-on attack mitigation.
• Work with Engineering on sophisticated attacks.
• Configure and manage security monitoring rules.
• Engage with customers through various communication channels.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills required.
• Minimum of 4 years experience in SOC or related field.
• Knowledge of Cloudflare Security Products is a plus.

Requirements

• 4+ years experience as a SOC Engineer.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, BGP).
• Experience in attack mitigation.
• Knowledge of Cloudflare Security Products.
• Proficient with command line tools.
• Competent in scripting languages (Bash, Python, JavaScript).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Relevant certifications preferred (CISSP, GCIA, GCIH).
