Security Operations Engineer - Remote

Overview

This is a full-time remote position reporting to the VP of Security and Compliance; You’ll be a part of the security operations team working closely with the SRE and Compliance teams. The Security Operations team will build out our secure-by-design cloud infrastructure, technology systems, and services and work closely with other teams to ensure we protect our customers.

In Short

• Own and operate the threat detection program.
• Build security monitoring and incident response capabilities.
• Monitor, research, validate, and respond to relevant alerts and events.
• Lead incident response activities.
• Apply knowledge of forensic analysis techniques.
• Support application security reviews and threat modeling.
• Support compliance audits and facilitate continuous monitoring activities.
• Identify and operationalize opportunities to improve controls.
• Act as security subject matter expert.
• Automate processes and manage team members.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant DevSecOps experience.
• Knowledge across information security domains.
• Hands-on configuration and management of cloud security tools.
• Proficiency with a programming or scripting language.
• Knowledge of secure coding principles.
• Solid communication skills.
