Release Engineer - Developer Productivity Team - Remote

Overview

The Release Engineer will support the continuous delivery of ClickHouse's cloud-based database platform by focusing on tooling, automation, and hands-on execution.

In Short

• Architect and build robust automation processes for rollouts and end-to-end tests.
• Improve and extend the internal command line tool.
• Collaborate with cloud and core database teams to identify areas of improvement.
• Coordinate and execute technical steps for deploying and monitoring major version upgrades.
• Educate and support other teams using internal tools.
• Participate in on-call rotation and troubleshoot issues in production.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development with scalable systems.
• Proficiency in Go or willingness to learn it.
• Passion for developer experience and automation.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Ability to lead large technical projects.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
• High level of responsibility and accountability.
• Experience with ClickHouse preferred.
