Overview

The VP of New Business Development for Retail is responsible for sourcing and developing new merchant partnerships for point-of-sale credit solutions.

  • Develop and drive a business development plan for target accounts in Retail.
  • Identify and prioritize target prospects through research and qualification.
  • Source, negotiate, and close new merchant partnerships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop proposal pricing and terms.
  • Craft tailored proposals and pitch strategies.
  • Ensure successful onboarding and launch of new clients.
  • Represent ClarityPay at conferences and in the market.
  • Maintain records in the sales management system.
  • Adhere to defined processes and policies.
  • Work collaboratively to drive win-win outcomes.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in selling to merchants.
  • At least 2 years of experience in POS financing or related fields.
  • Strong network of merchant relationships at the leadership level.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in negotiating agreements and pricing.
  • Financial acumen with knowledge of lending.
  • Ability to work in early-stage environments.
  • Able to travel up to 40% of the time.
  • Comfortable using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
