Senior Backend Engineer - Remote

In Short

• Strategically lead and guide backend development within the Operations team.
• Collaborate with the development team through the complete lifecycle of product development.
• Guide and train junior developers in software development best practices.
• Enhance and maintain existing software system applications.
• Implement and enforce software development standards.
• Design and implement unit and integration tests.
• Conduct thorough analysis to develop well-structured solutions.
• Generate clear and well-structured documentation.
• Review and ensure the quality of pull requests.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in Java (minimum version 8, preferred version 17) and Spring Boot 3.
• Strong understanding of software design principles and patterns.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA development.
• Expertise in relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
• Experience designing and managing microservices architectures.
• Experience with event-driven architecture and message brokers such as Kafka.
• Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS.
• Experience integrating with external providers via APIs.
• Strong knowledge of testing strategies.
• Participation in agile development teams.
• Experience with Git, Github, CI/CD pipelines.
• Docker container creation and configuration.
• Advanced level of English.
