Overview

The HR & Leave Specialist is responsible for managing and administering employee leave programs in compliance with federal, state, and company policies, serving as a key point of contact for client employees and managers regarding leave-related matters.

In Short

  • Administer employee leaves of absences including FMLA and ADA accommodations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for employees and managers regarding leave eligibility.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws.
  • Coordinate with payroll and benefits teams.
  • Track and maintain leave documentation.
  • Provide timely notices and communications regarding leave.
  • Support the ADA interactive process.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Prepare reports related to leave activity.
  • Assist with employee relations matters as needed.

Requirements

  • Associates degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Two or more years of experience in leave administration.
  • Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, and state leave laws.
  • Experience with HRIS and leave management systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
