Overview

The Manager, Business Development will identify, evaluate, and develop business opportunities to grow Lonza-CHI's share in the oral dosage marketplace, working closely with regional leaders and coordinating cross-functional projects.

  • Identify and develop business opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects between Sales, R&D, and Operations.
  • Establish market positioning for new products and services.
  • Generate and close new business opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends and develop strategic action plans.
  • Present development projects to pharma customers.
  • Provide customer support and manage internal resources.
  • Travel up to 40% as needed.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the industry.
  • Contribute to thought leadership through technical publications.

Requirements

  • Degree in a scientific discipline focused on Pharmaceuticals or Chemistry.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Business or a Technical field preferred.
  • Extensive experience in oral pharmaceutical formulation development.
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical product development and regulations.
  • Established network with stakeholders in the CDMO and generics sectors.
  • Proven ability to identify market trends and develop strategies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage customer interactions at all levels.
  • Experience in project management and customer relationship management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly.
