• Design, implement and maintain database infrastructure automation.
• Analyze fleet wide performance and reliability of database infrastructure.
• Act as a subject matter expert for databases at Canva.
• Support and debug production issues with databases.
• Provide on-call support as part of a rotation.
• Plan growth and manage capacity of database infrastructure.
• Participate in solution design meetings and code reviews.

Requirements

• Strong Computer Engineering / Science knowledge.
• Experience with Golang, Python, Java or comparable languages.
• Experience with MySQL/MariaDB in production environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• Strong communication skills.
