In Short

• Part-time contract role (approx 20 hours per week).
• Focus on creating Canva’s voice in Arabic.
• Translate key content and manage localisation partners.
• Develop and update style guides and glossaries.
• Review translation quality and provide cultural insights.
• Identify localisation improvement opportunities.
• Assess and source new language service providers (LSPs).
• Answer linguistic questions and triage testing results.
• Establish relationships with key stakeholders.
• Communicate best practices for copywriting and content review.

Requirements

• Experience as a Language Lead/Localisation Specialist for a SaaS product.
• Expertise with CAT tools; Smartling experience is a bonus.
• Solid understanding of organic growth (SEO and WordPress).
• Experience in localisation/internationalisation within a SaaS company.
• Natural ability to write clear and engaging content.
• Passion for languages and cultures.
• Ability to simplify complex problems.
• Comfortable discussing details with engineers and ideas with product managers.
• Proficient with tech and project management tools.
• Strong documentation skills.
