Overview

Ciena is seeking a dynamic and versatile engineer to support Network Management Applications, SDN, and Network Design Tools, focusing on the Navigator Network Control Suite.

In Short

• Engage with customer technical experts for product evaluation.
• Develop technical deliverables for new product features.
• Lead lab engineering activities for product testing.
• Create customer-specific documentation and test cases.
• Drive customer engagements for proof of concepts and trials.
• Collaborate with Product Management on roadmaps.
• Support pre- and post-sales engineering activities.
• Demonstrate Ciena technology through hands-on testing.
• Capture product issues and customer requests for enhancements.
• Build strong relationships with customers and peers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or Computer Science.
• Solid knowledge of optical networking and ROADM technologies.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Linux Operating Systems.
• Experience with cloud environments and application deployment.
• Understanding of Micro-Services software architectures.
• Database knowledge (Cassandra, MySQL) and messaging services experience.
• Experience with REST API interfaces and tools.
• Understanding of SDN and network management concepts.
• Ability to create and present technical documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
