  • Provide remote technical support for Ciena products 24x7.
  • On-call duty includes evenings and weekends.
  • Communicate with Design and manufacturing on field issues.
  • Utilize debug tools and lab research for problem-solving.
  • Mentor and train new Technical Support Engineers.
  • Create and publish required documentation.
  • Contribute to the knowledgebase.
  • Travel to customer sites globally as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 3 to 6 years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of SONET/SDH and DWDM/OTN technology.
  • Experience with Carrier Ethernet and fiber optic facilities.
  • Understanding of fiber optic transport and switching equipment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter with initiative and agility in decision-making.
  • Commitment to delivering quality customer service.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Innovative mindset and problem-solving skills.
