Senior Sales Engineer – Major Accounts - Remote

Overview

Calix is looking for a dynamic self-starter to join our Major Accounts Team as a Sales Engineer, working with Tier-1/2 Broadband Service Providers to drive revenue and build customer relationships.

In Short

• Engage in pre-sales activities and solution design.
• Provide integration support to ensure successful post-sales adoption.
• Translate technical concepts for senior management.
• Drive incremental revenue through trusted relationships.
• Architect designs leveraging Calix’s network and Cloud solutions.
• Assist in preparation for RFI and RFP responses.
• Support customers in configuration and testing of Calix products.
• Travel up to 50% for customer engagements.
• Strong technical background in broadband technologies required.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.

Requirements

• BSEE/BSCS desired.
• Strong familiarity with Layer 2 and Layer 3 Broadband Access network architectures.
• Knowledge of common broadband data protocols.
• Understanding of broadband provider operations and challenges.
• Experience with modern Wi-Fi networking and wireless network design.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues in deployment architectures.
• Experience with systems integration concepts and technologies.
• Knowledge of emerging technologies such as SaaS and SDN.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a results-oriented mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to establish strategic customer relationships.
