Contracts and Intellectual Property Paralegal - Remote

Overview

This position is a dual role with a common skill set. The Contracts role facilitates contract functions between Cadwell and our medical facility-based customers. The Intellectual Property role facilitates the protection and maintenance of Cadwell’s trademarks and patents.

In Short

• Support a high-volume legal department in contract drafting and redlining.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and drive implementation.
• Ensure prioritization of high-level legal matters.
• Review and redline contract language to conform with acceptable terms.
• Work with cross-functional teams to maintain an appropriate contracts strategy.
• Execute contracts and ensure accurate communication of terms.
• Exhibit decision-making skills in resolving conflicts during negotiations.
• Develop strategies for the protection of trademarks and patents.
• Collaborate with internal teams on intellectual property matters.
• Prepare and present reports on the status of the intellectual property portfolio.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience with commercial contract preparation and administration.
• Bachelor’s Degree and paralegal or contracts experience.
• Contract Management Certification or Paralegal certificate required.
• Prior corporate paralegal or contracts manager experience.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with minimum supervision.
• Experience with trademark and patent processes is a bonus.
