Overview

Brightspeed is looking for a Customer Service Technician to join our team! In this role, you will perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-speed internet, video, and voice networks, ensuring a top-notch customer experience.

In Short

  • Perform installation and maintenance of internet, video, and voice networks.
  • Conduct troubleshooting of associated wiring and equipment.
  • Maintain and repair outside plant facilities.
  • Work in various weather conditions and at different hours.
  • Assist other technical personnel as needed.
  • Support sales and marketing activities.
  • Observe all safety rules and regulations.
  • Climb poles and work in confined spaces.
  • Communicate professionally with customers.
  • Be accountable and dependable in your work.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to distinguish colors on facilities.
  • Physical ability to handle heavy equipment.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office applications.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Teamwork and active listening skills.
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Willingness to undergo training and improve skills.
  • Positive and professional demeanor.
  • Prior experience in telecom operations is a plus.
