• The Core Messaging team focuses on enhancing the performance and reliability of Braze's most frequently used messaging channels.
• Responsible for high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to maintain industry leadership.
• Create innovative features for effective customer communication.
• Take ownership of critical components of Braze's high-scale architecture.
• Drive team OKRs to ensure alignment and progress.
• Balance individual coding, guidance, mentoring, and delegation.
• Develop a deep understanding of the business to maximize effectiveness.

• Contribute to product, technology, and team process improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer.
• Comfortable owning and leading technology initiatives.
• High impact and foundational code writing skills.
• Experience with architecture proposals and code reviews.
• Excellent communication skills with peers and stakeholders.
• Proficient in code performance analysis and optimization.
• Familiar with distributed architecture paradigms.
