Overview

The Group Lead for New Product Development at FHP Manufacturing Company will establish standardized processes and best practices for product development projects, ensuring consistency and quality across all initiatives while providing leadership and support to a team of engineers.

• Lead and mentor a team of Product Development Engineers.
• Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Serve as a liaison between product development and other departments.

• Plan and update test matrices according to standards.
• Compile development test reports for performance and functions.
• Participate in technical risk assessments.
• Supervise 6 direct reports including engineers and interns.
• Telecommuting permitted, 1 day per week work from home.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
• 5 years of experience as a Lead Development Engineer.
• Experience with Product Engineering methods and Engineering Change Management.
• Knowledge of risk assessment methods like FMEA and DRBFM.
• Experience leading Requirement Engineering sessions.
• Familiarity with 8D Problem solving methods.
• Understanding of stage gate new product development processes.
