Overview

The Business Development Representative (BDR) at Black & McDonald is responsible for generating new Service Agreements in the commercial, industrial, and institutional markets, leveraging a proactive sales strategy to improve business outcomes.

  • Own a territory to generate new Service Agreements.
  • Engage with potential clients to evaluate their facility asset needs.
  • Identify, qualify, and close opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Research prospects and manage a Sales Funnel efficiently.
  • Focus on solving client problems rather than just selling agreements.
  • High level of autonomy and time management required.
  • Not a Technical Sales role, but a pure Business Development role.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Business Development with financial sales negotiations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Requirements

  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma in engineering, business administration, or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a Business Development role.
  • Strong insight into client needs and emotions.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
