Overview

The Senior Manager, Strategic Philanthropy & Board Engagement is a key member of the Resource Development team, responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of National Board engagement at Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA). This role ensures the national Board of Directors operates with excellence driving forward a well-structured, forward-looking cadence of meetings, agendas, and strategic discussions that align with organizational priorities.

• Lead planning and execution of board meetings and committee meetings.
• Manage Board operations and logistics for effective engagement.
• Support the cultivation and stewardship of top-tier donor portfolios.
• Design and manage a Board Engagement & Philanthropy Program.
• Coordinate moves management across priority donors.
• Prepare high-quality materials for donor meetings.
• Maintain accurate records in CRM systems.
• Demonstrate commitment to organizational values and competencies.
• Manage related duties in support of department needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience.
• 6-8 years of experience in executive assistance or operations management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Experience with document management tools preferred.
• Demonstrated initiative and creativity.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Leadership skills with a focus on team motivation.
