Overview

The Associate Account Manager is responsible for proactively maintaining and retaining relationships with existing customers for permanent commercial and industrial waste services in an assigned territory.

In Short

  • Proactively maintains and retains existing customer relationships.
  • Makes outbound and receives inbound calls to retain business.
  • Sells the full suite of Republic Services products.
  • Utilizes Salesforce for scheduling and documenting activities.
  • Increases customer penetration and profitability.
  • Responds to cancellation requests per escalation policy.
  • Meets regularly with Sales Manager to review activities.
  • Performs contractual re-signs to extend customer relationships.
  • Requires high school diploma or G.E.D. and customer service experience.
  • Preferred experience in waste or transportation industry.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. (Required)
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience (Required)
  • Experience in waste or transportation industry (Preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Salesforce
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sales skills to increase customer penetration
  • Proactive in reaching out to customers
  • Ability to handle cancellation requests
  • Organizational skills for documenting activities
