Overview

Avela is seeking an Account Executive to help drive sales and go-to-market alongside the founding team. This is a key position at an early-stage company, reporting directly to Avela’s Sales Lead.

In Short

  • Own new business sales, focusing on closing new accounts and expansion sales.
  • Manage renewals for existing accounts, working closely with the client services team.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team on demand generation activities.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences (10-15 per year).
  • Work in a semi-remote environment with a preference for candidates in the SF Bay Area.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in EdTech sales.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, preferably HubSpot.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills required.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort with ambiguity are essential.
  • Legal ability to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with an EdTech firm.
  • 2+ years in a quota carrying sales role.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales management tools.
  • Strong understanding of sales KPIs and operations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and drive.
  • US resident living near a major airport.
  • Legal ability to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.
