Senior Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

ASSYST is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our State client's agile development team in Austin, TX. This role is central to the design, development, and implementation (DD&I) of a critical data integration hub for the client.

In Short

• Lead the implementation and configuration of the infrastructure for the data integration hub.
• Develop ETL mappings and workflows using Informatica to automate data acquisition.
• Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL scripts for data transformation.
• Enhance and maintain a Java-based web application for Tableau dashboards.
• Participate in agile sprint team activities.
• Collaborate with System Architects and the Data Engineering Team.
• Conduct comprehensive testing to ensure solution performance.
• Develop automated processes for SQL script verification.
• Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
• Provide ongoing operations support for the data integration hub.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience with Informatica ETL processes.
• 8+ years of experience integrating data from multiple sources.
• 8+ years of experience designing complex SQL scripts.
• 8+ years of experience as a System Analyst in data projects.
• 8+ years of experience with technical writing and modeling tools.
• 8+ years of experience in delivering software platforms.
• 8+ years of experience developing scripts using Python.
• 8+ years of experience working on an agile team.
• 8+ years of experience using JIRA software.
