Manual QA Tester - Remote

Overview

ASSYST is seeking a skilled Manual QA Tester for our client in Washington D.C. This position is fully remote and is offered as a contract role.

In Short

• Analyze business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Create and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and test plans.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
• Test Angular UI components across different browsers and devices.
• Validate RESTful APIs using POSTMAN or similar tools.
• Conduct database validation using PostgreSQL.
• Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and business analysts.
• Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices.
• Perform cross-browser and responsive UI testing.

Requirements

• Proven years of experience in Manual QA testing across web applications.
• Hands-on experience with POSTMAN or similar API testing tools.
• Strong ability to write SQL queries for data validation in PostgreSQL.
• Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA.
• Solid understanding of functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Angular UI testing across multiple browsers and devices.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
