Overview

Associations International is seeking an experienced meetings and events professional to join the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Learning and Development (L&D) team as Director of Meetings and Events. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for event management and a desire to make a positive impact in the coaching profession.

In Short

  • Oversee all elements and phases of logistical planning and execution of conference meetings, programs, and associated events.
  • Prepare materials, RFPs, and contract negotiations with consultants and service providers.
  • Develop and monitor action plans and timelines for all projects related to planning and executing conferences.
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop conference branding and marketing needs.
  • Identify leads and develop sales kit/tools for sponsorship.
  • Plan and facilitate conference staff meetings and develop on-site staffing plans.
  • Develop and oversee conference budgets and provide regular updates.
  • Collect and maintain historical records related to conferences.
  • Serve as primary contact with venues, vendors, and consultants.
  • Ensure optimal online conference participant experience for virtual events.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years in all phases of meeting and event management.
  • Experience planning international events.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Database software knowledge.
  • Experienced with MS-Office software.
  • Knowledge of Meetings Matrix or other room setup software helpful.
  • CMP Credential strongly preferred.
