Director of Development - Remote

Overview

Arevon is a leading renewable energy company, supplying clean, reliable, and cost-effective energy to utilities and businesses in the U.S. We use innovative approaches to develop, build, finance, own, and operate utility-scale solar, energy storage, solar-plus-storage projects, and distributed generation assets.

In Short

• The Director of Development will lead the strategy and implementation of development activities.
• Responsible for advancing Arevon’s existing project pipeline of 8+ GW.
• Manage a team of project development managers, associates, and analysts.
• Interface with internal resources including engineering, legal, and finance.
• Engage with landowning communities to promote solar development.
• Track interconnection processes and participate in agreement decisions.
• Establish and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Communicate project risks and mitigations to Senior Management.
• Regular domestic travel expected up to 50% of the time.
• Position may be based in Scottsdale, AZ, or remote.

Requirements

• 4-year degree in engineering, mathematics, business, or similar discipline.
• 6-10 years of experience in renewable energy development.
• Experience in multiple energy markets (MISO, SPP, PJM).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience in managing and leading a team.
• Proven success in developing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• 300+ MW of projects successfully completed.
