Senior Analyst, Power Markets Modeling - Remote

Overview

The Senior Analyst, Power Markets Modeling will be responsible for building, managing, and maintaining Arevon’s short-term production cost modeling tools, working collaboratively with internal teams to assess the impacts of grid changes and develop market scenarios.

In Short

• Maintain short-term Production Cost Models with market and in-house views.
• Oversee the daily backcast process and ensure appropriate inputs.
• Collaborate with Market Operations and Origination teams.
• Perform scenario analyses to characterize input sensitivities.
• Develop modeling approaches for batteries and large load generation.
• Analyze drivers of market outcomes based on supply and demand.
• Identify model gaps and propose solutions.
• Develop automated reporting and dashboard tools for market insights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum of three years of experience in electricity markets.
• Team-oriented and collaborative.
• Effective in fast-paced environments.
• Competent programming skills, particularly in Python.
