Overview

The Business Development Manager will create a strategic action plan, build new client relationships, secure new projects (revenue), help our clients meet their objectives, and achieve the Company’s sales goals for Facilities & Manufacturing services.

In Short

  • Responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing business in the life sciences.
  • Build, maintain, and manage a sales pipeline to achieve revenue goals.
  • Support the development of proposals/solutions for project opportunities.
  • Build trusted relationships with decision-makers on the client side.
  • Monitor and maintain client relationships to identify growth opportunities.
  • Create and deliver quarterly client presentations.
  • Work closely with Operations teams for accurate forecasting.
  • Collaborate internally to improve delivery efficiencies.
  • Attend events and support lead generation campaigns.
  • Promote the company’s profile at trade shows and conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science with experience in sales or business development.
  • 10-15+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development in life sciences.
  • Experience with Engineering, Facility & Process Design, or Construction Firms.
  • Proven track record in developing new relationships & cross-selling current accounts.
  • Experience using Customer Relationship Management software (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Strong communication and customer presentation skills.
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Independent achiever focused on meeting sales goals.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Technology savvy.
