SQL Database Developer Consultant I - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented SQL Database Developer to join our data and technology team. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with a foundational understanding of SQL and relational databases.

In Short

• Write, test, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and end users to understand data requirements.
• Assist in the design and development of relational database schemas and data models.
• Support database performance tuning and indexing efforts.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in SQL Server or other RDBMS platforms.
• Assist with ETL processes for importing and transforming data.
• Support database documentation, backups, and version control practices.
• Familiarity with SQL and basic knowledge of T-SQL, PL/SQL, or similar query languages.
• Understanding of relational database concepts, data normalization, and indexing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

• 0-2 years of experience (Preferred).
• Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent RDBMS.
• Basic experience with SSIS or other data integration tools.
• Familiarity with source code/version control systems such as Git or Azure DevOps.
• Some experience with reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
