Overview

The Lead Driver Controls Customer Support Engineer will support GE Vernova’s Power Conversion & Storage business by interfacing with customers, providing technical support, and managing software design processes for power converters.

In Short

  • Serve as the first line of support for customer breakdowns.
  • Travel to customer sites for interventions and investigations.
  • Conduct CIR & RCA investigations.
  • Maintain ownership of engineering artifacts for power converters.
  • Review technical specifications for control of power converters.
  • Support sales by addressing customer requirements.
  • Manage software design processes for specific projects.
  • Collaborate with other GE businesses on power converter technologies.
  • Minimum 15 years experience in relevant fields.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 15 years experience in power electronics and conversion.
  • 10 years of site commissioning support.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of GE PC P80i programming.
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor devices.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to access U.S. export-controlled information.
