Overview

The GE Grid Solutions GSI North America group is seeking a Senior Power Transformers Field Specialist 3 to oversee the erection, commissioning, and maintenance of power transformer systems while collaborating with clients and GE engineering.

In Short

• Responsible for on-site transformer services including installation and maintenance.
• Requires up to 80% travel across North America.
• Long-term projects with rotational schedules (4 weeks on site, 1 week at home).
• Emergency call-out services may be required.
• Ability to oversee and assist with field tests and commissioning.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant field experience.
• Leadership experience is essential.
• Effective communication and IT skills are required.
• CDL license preferred.
• Position is remote but may require local service center assignment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of field experience with power transformers or related equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Proven field experience through technical training or military service.
• Ability to understand electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Leadership capability to cover for team leads as needed.
