Manager, Quality Engineering - Remote

Overview

As our Manager, Quality Engineering, you will oversee the Quality Assurance (QA) Team, ensuring effective test planning, test execution, and review of key deliverables. You will collaborate with product, development, customer experience, and marketing teams. You will be responsible for setting goals for team members; providing support, guidance, and mentorship; and holding them accountable to those goals. You will also plan, write, and guide the QA Team in developing, deploying, and maintaining quality processes, making quality a team-wide discipline while also leading the maintenance of all testing and quality tools.

• Manage, coach, and mentor a distributed team of skilled Quality Assurance Engineers in an Empowered SCRUM methodology.
• Develop, implement, and maintain best practices and processes for Quality Engineering and Automation.
• Act as a liaison between stakeholders, Product Management, Quality Engineering, and the Engineering organization.
• Create and foster an environment of teamwork, open communication, ownership, and accountability.
• Set team and individual goals aligned to business goals.
• Provide routine reporting to relevant stakeholders on the performance and costs of the Automation Team.
• Define, track, and act on health metrics for ongoing improvement.
• Make key technical decisions on quality tools and processes.
• Support teams in a hands-on capacity, develop test plans, and facilitate product deployment.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
• 4+ years of experience leading a team in an Agile/SCRUM framework.
• 2+ years managing a Quality Assurance / Quality Engineering team.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Experience growing and mentoring others.
