The Associate Director Benefits position at Acadia Pharmaceuticals involves collaborating on strategic plans and programs related to health and welfare benefits to attract and retain talent.

In Short

  • Manage leaves of absence and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Compile pay data for employees on various leaves.
  • Collaborate with leadership on employee relations issues.
  • Administer the 401k plan and provide related support.
  • Assist with annual benefits open enrollment processes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and ERISA requirements.
  • Track and analyze benefits costs and pricing.
  • Provide ongoing benefits administration support.
  • Support HIPAA and SOX compliance initiatives.
  • Participate in various health and welfare initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.
  • 8+ years of experience in benefits and program management.
  • Knowledge of Federal and California State laws on leaves of absence.
  • Experience managing online benefit enrollment systems.
  • Data compilation and federal/state health reporting experience.
  • Ability to build effective relationships within an organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment is preferred.
  • Benefits certification is a plus.
  • Handling sensitive and confidential information.
