Overview

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing and growing business of an existing portfolio of ABEC accounts within a defined geography while also prospecting, qualifying, developing, and signing new accounts.

In Short

  • Responsible for top-line sales growth in the Service Business Unit.
  • Exceed all activity standards for prospecting, meetings, and closed business.
  • Develop and implement sales opportunity and account strategies.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with other offices.
  • Provide regular reporting of activities including forecasts.
  • Maintain high levels of client satisfaction through relationship building.
  • Control expenses to meet budget guidelines.
  • Travel is required for this position - estimated at 60% to 80%.
  • Provide timely feedback to senior management.
  • Execute other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4 Year degree in Science, Engineering, or Business.
  • Three to five years’ experience selling within the biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Minimal 2 years’ experience utilizing CRM software.
  • Prior Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Knowledge in one or all of the following industries: Engineering, manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals.
  • Ability to call on and influence decision makers.
  • Awareness of Continuous Improvement (CI) a plus.
