Cybersecurity Data Analyst - Remote

Overview

The AbbVie Data Security Response Analyst will support the protection of AbbVie data by monitoring alerts generated by AbbVie’s Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions and investigating sensitive data transfers.

In Short

• Monitor DLP information security alerts and respond, triage, and escalate as needed.
• Assist Global Legal and Human Resources in processing DLP Remediation requests.
• Analyze event/alert patterns to prioritize threats.
• Identify trends to improve data loss prevention policies.
• Support projects enhancing reporting and workflow.
• Interface with clients to translate security requirements.
• Prepare and present formal incident reports.
• Assist with resolution of Data Loss Prevention technology issues.
• Develop reports and metrics for leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree with 2 years of experience or Masters Degree with no experience.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Splunk or SIEM preferred.
• Experience with Cybersecurity, Insider Risk and/or Data Loss Prevention preferred.
• Ability to perform routine tasks independently.
• Analyze and critique results for significant variances.
• Troubleshoot algorithms, protocols, and software.
• Demonstrate skill in adapting techniques as needed.
• Learn and understand new methods and technologies.
• Consult relevant literature for context.
• Adhere to corporate standards and policies.
