Overview

The Business Development Manager will play a strategic role in driving sales and market share for Yanmar Compact Equipment in the Northeast region, focusing on dealer engagement and customer base expansion.

In Short

  • Serve as the primary sales lead for dealers in the Northeast region.
  • Drive sales of whole goods and attachments.
  • Collaborate with the Channel Development team for dealer onboarding.
  • Analyze market trends and manage sales pipeline.
  • Provide product demonstrations and training to dealers.
  • Attend trade shows and support local events.
  • Achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Communicate effectively with dealers and internal teams.
  • Travel up to 75% within assigned territory.
  • Work remotely from New York or Pennsylvania.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in construction or off-road equipment.
  • Experience supporting dealers and customers.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze competitive products and market trends.
  • Understanding of customer segments and buying habits.
